Utilize a certified Gun Smith to install Base. It is possible
Utilize a certified Gun Smith to install Base. It is possible to install Base if a Gun Smith is not accessible, but it is reccomended that Base be installed by a Gun Smith.
WARNING: Never remove or install components on a gun before en
WARNING: Never remove or install components on a gun before ensuring the gun is not loaded and the chamber is clear.
Step 1
STEP 1: Visually inspect your firearm for burrs around mounting holes and remove if necessary.
Step 2
STEP 2: Remove all grease and oil from: base mounting surfaces, contact surfaces, and tapped holes in the receiver.
Step 3 copy
STEP 3: Place single piece picatinny rail scope mount base on the receiver. Make sure all holes line up correctly. Using a T-10 Torx wrench, loosely install mounting screws. After confirming, once again, that picatinny rail scope base fits properly, tighten Torx screw to 20 in-lbs of torque. (Warning: Make sure you are using in-lbs and not ft-lbs)
Step 4: Using chart below, locate proper screws and moutning l
STEP 4: Using the Screws/Pins and mounting pattern identified in Step 3, mount the Red Dot sight to the adapter and torque to 12in/lbs
